Job Duties/Accountabilities
The expectations of this position are as follows:Have a strong understanding of the relevant tax laws and being able to apply this to the particular client facts and circumstancesPlan and lead engagements Review tax returns/provisions and prepare complex returns/provisionsProactively understanding the needs of the client to develop relevant and valuable tax solutions and planning strategies.Maintain and develop existing clients, as well as, identifying new business opportunities which will contribute to the development of the practiceCreate a learning environment through leadershipAbility to anticipate the long term impact of all decisions and take a broad approach to problem solvingExecute a client service plan on complex engagements and work closely with the Partners in exceeding their clients expectations while identifying and mitigating business risks associated with projects.
Critical Qualifications/Competencies
Completed undergraduate degree with outstanding academic credentialsA completed masters degree or accounting designation or LLBMinimum 5 years of relevant work experienceCompletion of the CICA In-depth Tax program or Masters of Taxation would be an asset
