 Company is seeking an experienced Tax Director to lead all global tax and related compliance for our global organization. This role will help maintain proper tax compliance, drive tax strategy and execution, and collaborate cross-functionally to support growing domestic and international operations. This role will initially oversee external tax advisors, and in time transition the tax function in-house.

 What You Will Do

 Ensure timely and proper direct and indirect tax compliance globally.

  • Oversee a team of external tax advisors; over time, build and develop and effective in-house tax function, transitioning routine tax functions from external advisors.
  • Prepare routine tax provision calculations, reporting, analyses, and related financial statement and audit support.
  • Manage, negotiate, and resolve external tax audits.
  • Lead efforts to strategically optimize global tax structure to maximize tax benefits, increase after tax cash flows, minimize and mitigate tax exposures.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to build relationships, identify operational efficiencies, foster tax awareness, and implement effective tax strategies.
  • Implement best practices for people-process-systems associated with tax planning, compliance, accounting, and reporting.
  • Responsible for tax related internal control design, documentation, and remediation efforts.

Who We Are Looking For

  • Minimum of 15 years of diverse global tax experience
  • Big 4 public accounting experience.
  • Strong technical tax and compliance experience, with extensive domestic and international tax structures and operations.
  • Broad knowledge of federal, state and international tax law.
  • Strong knowledge of global income, property, indirect and transaction compliance reporting and associated processes.
  • Experience with and deep understanding of transfer pricing strategy and compliance.
  • Ability to represent the company in multi-state, federal and foreign jurisdictions of audit.
  • Demonstrated ability to combine strategic thinking with effective tactical execution.
  • Able to work independently, as well as with a group.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Hands on working style with the ability to multitask.
  • Ability to communicate complex and technical matters effectively.
  • Collaborative and team-oriented attitude.
