Job 

Responsible for US domestic tax planning. Work closely with the International Director on the accounting impact of the tax positions related to US International and the foreign tax matters, including but not limited to, Subpart F (actual and forecasted). Responsible for maintaining the entity earnings and profits, tax credit pools and outside tax basis. Oversee the preparation of the domestic related tax returns. Manage Domestic Tax Manager and assist with management of the tax staff pool. 

 Expected responsibilities cover multiple areas including but not limited to:

  • Quarterly  Provision
    • Provide updated Subpart F and other foreign-sourced income Forecast
    • Provide forecasted Overall Domestic Loss forecast  
    • Provide update on status of existing and new ASC 740-10- 25 (FIN 48) issue in foreign jurisdictions.
    • Serve as a resource for domestic tax matters questions that arise during quarter
  • Year End Provision
    • Provide updated Subpart F and other foreign-sourced income Forecast
    • Provide forecasted Overall Domestic Loss forecast
    • Provide update on status of existing and new ASC 740-10- 25
    • Serve as a resource for domestic tax matters questions that arise during quarter
    • APB 23 analysis
  • Tax Return
    • Responsible for preparation of the domestic information returns
    • Final inclusion of sourced income
    •  Tax Credit computation and realization
    • Disclosures on any domestic transactions
    • Allocate expenses, including interest, on domestic source
  • Tax Planning
    • Pro-active tax planning
    • Implement and administer tax strategies, together with other Tax Directors and Managers and VP and outside advisers, understanding of US tax implications.
    • Effective Tax Rate and cash tax optimization
    • Cash repatriation strategies
    • Monitor the domestic tax authority audits
  • Transfer Pricing
    • Work with outside advisers on global transfer pricing
    • Intercompany cross-charges
    • Merger, acquisition and divestiture analysis and planning
    • Managerial responsibility for approximately 2 employees

 Qualifications

 REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Taxation
  • Able to travel approximately 25%

 ADDITIONAL

  • Master’s degree in Taxation highly preferred
  • CPA strongly preferred
  • Corporate tax experience a strong plus
  • Prior experience in managing direct reports
  • 5+ years of experience in public accounting preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in private sector preferred
  • Strong background in tax accounting, international tax compliance, and general knowledge of Tax regimes in international jurisdictions
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively summarize difficult tax technical concepts in written and verbal form to communicate to non-tax personnel
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
