The primary responsibility of the Tax Director is tax compliance, tax planning and accounting for income taxes, working with businesses, service providers, and other tax professionals in carrying out his or her responsibilities, work with financial management within the Company and third party service providers. Responsible for audits of federal and state income tax and state and local filings and create, analyze and implement restructuring opportunities to obtain the tax benefits of consolidation, utilization of losses or other opportunities.

 Responsible for audits of federal and state income tax and state and local filings.

  • Complies with federal, state, local and SEC requirements by studying regulations; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions; communicating with attorneys, tax specialists and our transfer agent to ensure timely tax and SEC reporting requirements.
  • Prepares federal, state, local and special tax returns annually by collecting, analyzing, and formatting financial information.
  • Create, analyze and implement tax minimization strategies.
  • Create, analyze and implement restructuring opportunities to obtain the tax benefits of consolidation, utilization of losses or other opportunities.
  • Responsible for preparing and managing the income tax provision, for the review and approval of quarterly and yearly domestic provision calculations, including the calculation of current and deferred tax expense, current and deferred tax asset and/or liability accounts and tax contingency reserve accounts for all domestic operations and related footnote disclosures.
  • Responsible for keeping the Company in complete compliance as it relates to various income & non-income tax reporting, including franchise, sales tax, property, etc.
  • Identifies and implements opportunities for streamlining or redesigning tax processes. Researches and implements new tax laws or tax impact in regards to how they relate to the Company.
  • Manages the implementation of Tax Strategies in order to meet the Tax Objectives of the Company. Acts as a liaison between business, legal, and finance on tax matters relating to deals and transactions.
  • Reviews calculation of estimated overall tax rate for budget and forecasts.

 

Experience(s) :                                                                         

  • Education:  CPA a must
  • Experience:  10 – 14 years
  • Must have a demonstrated hands-on approach and success in working in a team-based environment
