Position Summary: 

Primarily responsible for managing the U.S. international tax positions including the foreign tax credit, impact on Subpart F related to supply chain strategies, merger and acquisition activity, and supporting the impact on financial statement reporting. Manages and drives projects that help to maintain a competitive effective tax rate and provides shareholder value. Supports both the U.S. international tax compliance and the global tax provision processes. Responsibilities will include:

  • Advise and consult with Corporate (Treasury, Finance, Internal Audit, Legal, etc.) and operating units to assist with and implement tax savings initiatives, cash repatriation, and tax planning projects.
  • Regularly consult with company personnel to identify tax planning opportunities and tax risks. Pursue an in-depth understanding of company’s operations and business development plans in order to minimize taxes and ensure tax compliance.
  • Stay current with respect to U.S. international tax law changes and tax alerts. Build awareness among company personnel of existing and proposed tax laws that may impact company’s business operations.
  • Responsible for maintaining company’s global legal/tax organizational chart.
  • Manages or participates in various intra- and inter-departmental special projects. Responsible for developing specialized tax expertise and coordinating projects to promote overall department effectiveness. May directly supervise various tax department personnel.
  • Consults on and supports all international tax issues on IRS exams.
  • Works with and coordinates appropriate use of outside counsel and tax advisors.
  • Manages key tax positions related to the company’s financial reporting under ASC 740.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting (advanced degree is preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of international tax experience (strong international compliance experience).
  • Strong Foreign Tax Credit and Subpart F experience.
  • Knowledge of ASC740, FAS 109 and FIN 48.
  • Knowledge of U.S. outbound transfer pricing a plus.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, and CorpTax helpful.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication (both verbal and written) skills.
  • Proven ability to build collaborative relationships with diverse individuals and experience leading a small team.
