The Manager, Corporate Tax primarily manages various foreign tax compliance, accounting, research and planning functions including; income, value-added and withholding taxes. The Manager leads the day-to-day operations of these tax functions to meet the Company’s related accounting and compliance obligations and to minimize liabilities. Essential Responsibilities · Coordinate and manage foreign tax compliance, research and planning with external advisors including; income, value-added and withholding taxes · Prepare and review tax accruals, budgets and forecasts · Review analysis and reconciliations of general ledger accounts · Review commercial contracts and ensure proper tax clauses · Recommend and implement process improvements · Coordinate and manage taxing authority and internal/external financial audits · Keep informed of relevant tax regulatory developments · Manage tax consulting spending including; accounting, budgeting and forecasting · Supervise and develop staff · Special projects and other duties as assigned Minimum Experience and Qualifications · Bachelor’s degree in accounting, tax or finance · Five (5) years of corporate tax experience, including income tax · Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, including spreadsheet expertise · Ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines · Proficient analytical and interpretive skills · Strong leadership and project management skills · Detail oriented, with ability to provide clear and concise summation · Strong written and verbal communication skills · Capable of working independently and in a team environment · Available for occasional overnight travel · Currently in possession of a valid Passport or equivalent travel documents with the ability to travel in and out of the United States · Must pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test · Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located Preferred Experience and Qualifications · CPA or Master’s degree in accounting, tax or finance · Corporate tax, accounting or finance experience in Latin America markets · Value-added tax experience · Working knowledge of tax compliance and research systems · Working knowledge of ASC 740 · Working knowledge of ERP systems and database applications · Fluent in English and Spanish language Working Conditions: Crewmember Expectations: · Regular attendance and punctuality · Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice · Well groomed and able to maintain a professional appearance · When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft · Must be an appropriate organizational fit for the JetBlue culture, that is, exhibit the JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Passion and Fun · Must fulfill safety accountabilities as prescribed by JetBlue’s Safety Management System · Promote JetBlue’s #1 value of safety as a Safety Ambassador, supporting JetBlue’s Safety Management System (SMS) components, Safety Policy and behavioral standards · Identify safety concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue’s confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) and Safety Action Report (SAR)) · Responsible for adhering to all applicable laws, regulations (FAA, OSHA, DOT, etc.) and Company policies, procedures and risk controls · Uphold JetBlue’s safety performance metric goals and understand how they relate to their duties and responsibilities Equipment: · Computer and other office equipment Work Environment: · Normal office environment
