The Team and the Position:
The Head of Global Tax will join a fast-paced finance team of high caliber professionals from companies like Intel, VMware, Atlassian, Salesforce.com, NetSuite, Goldman Sachs, Equinix, Merrill Lynch, KPMG and PwC. 
The Head of Global Tax will lead and develop Company’s global tax team and related compliance, fostering a culture of collaboration and constant improvement, as the company continues to scale and expand. The ideal candidate is a big-picture, strategic thinker with a roll-up their sleeves and execute mindset, strong technical and analytical skills, and demonstrated acumen in both domestic and international tax. This is a key leadership role across the company and the expectation is that this person will be a true strategic business partner to the entire Company leadership team. He/she will be a leader within a passionate, highly-intelligent, and self-motivated environment. 

Selected Priorities for the Role:
Responsible for all aspects of Company’s US federal and global direct and indirect tax compliance and planning, and the accounting for income taxes under US GAAP 
Develop and implement a global tax strategy and structure as Company continues to expand its global footprint and present global tax strategies and tax provisions to executive management and leadership team 
Develop and implement global indirect tax policies, procedures and internal controls 
Manage indirect tax compliance requirements and related processes for a large multinational telecommunications/technology company 
Collaborate with external tax advisors located worldwide to implement global tax strategies 
Oversee the resolution of tax issues related to audits, mergers and acquisitions, and new business initiatives 
Oversee the recording and reporting of taxes based on applicable financial accounting standards and controls, including US GAAP, SEC, and SOX 
Build an effective partnership with cross-functional business units in an expanding global company 

Qualifications & Experience:
The ideal candidate brings strong tax leadership experience from a public environment, having supported the growth and scaling of a global company. He/she brings a strong operational orientation to the role and has experience scaling processes, infrastructure and people. The candidate should have deep experience in all facets of tax. 

Other Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Taxation 
A Master's degree in Taxation, MBA or JD 
CPA is preferred 
Combination of public accounting and industry a plus 
A minimum of 15 years of progressive tax experience with 3 years in senior tax manager or director level 
Strong technical knowledge of income tax, accounting for income taxes (e.g. ASC 740, ASC 450)
Experience managing indirect tax compliance requirements and related processes for a growing/large multi-national telecommunications/technology company
