Position Summary:

Reporting to the Director, Global Tax, the Federal and State Tax Manager will work with many members of tax, finance, legal and business teams and will be responsible for managing and completing the federal and state tax compliance, tax provision, tax planning and audit defense.  This position will also have opportunities to become progressively involved in exciting planning projects.  Responsibilities include:

  • Manage the preparation of the federal and state tax compliance by ensuring complete, accurate, and timely reporting
  • Manage the preparation of the federal and state tax provision by ensuring complete, accurate, and timely reporting
  • Prepare and/or review estimated federal and state tax calculations
  • Prepare and/or review Foreign-Derived Intangible Income deduction, Global Intangible Low-taxed Income tax, , and other complex calculations
  • Perform research, analysis, and planning on federal tax issues
  • Manage federal and state audits
  • Remain current on latest tax law and monitor legislative changes
  • Work collaboratively on a cross-functional basis to identify and implement process improvements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (advanced degree or CPA strongly preferred, in process or willing to accomplish)
  • Minimum of 4 years of federal tax compliance and provision experience in public accounting, law firm, corporate in-house or a combination thereof
  • Critical thinker, self-motivated to proactively solve problems, improve processes and drive change
  • Ability to collaborate, build rapport and working relationships with team members at all levels and areas within and outside of the organization
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, required
  • Ability and desire to train, mentor, lead and develop team members
