We have a diverse base of customers in industries like automotive, aerospace, electronics, energy and general engineering that we support with ~1,500 employees in multiple global locations Key Performance Areas The Senior Tax Manager will be overall responsible for tax matters within Hyperion globally. This includes the areas of Transfer Pricing, Tax Operation and Tax Planning. As a developing function, the Tax Manager is expected to play a leading role in establishing new capabilities, policy, procedure and process development, as well as determining strategies for managing tax requirements and mitigating the Company’s risk exposures. This role contributes to the overall strategy and manages complex issues within functional areas area of expertise. Role will oversee day-to-day operations with service providers and internal managers. The position reports to the Director of Accounting and will interact with other functional areas within Finance, including but not limited to, Corporate Accounting, Treasury, Payables and Receivables, Audit. In the transfer pricing area:Serves as a business partner to the operating and finance teams to ensure compliance with international transfer pricing guidelines, drive business tax initiatives, and profitability Partner and participate in global planning—continuous optimization of existing and new inter-company transactions, as well as special projects related to restructuring and acquisitions Develop and establish transfer pricing policies & procedures Perform internal transfer pricing audits Ensure compliance with all laws related to tranfer pricing In the tax operations area:Leads transition to TSA and/or co-source provider Oversee day-to-day operations with service providers and internal managers Responsible for tax calendar and oversight of statutory filings (local, state, federal) Provides work product for significant or high risk items In the tax planning area:Identifies and leads strategic high value tax planning opportunities. Project manages these efforts across functional lines Leads and coordinatethe desired structuring for cross border transactions, due diligence matters related to acquisition and divestments Your Profile Required qualifications are you possess a Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business Administration. Have atleast 8 additional years of experience in Tax positions; global experience preferred. Ideal candidate will have strong analytic skills: able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change Excellent oral and written communication skills: experience working across multiple levels, functions and regions; able to clearly communicate complex issues in a clear and concise manner Clear thinking/problem solving: successfully led projects/process improvement within operations/finance function involving process improvement; able to quickly grasp new ideas Solid PC skills: experience with financial systems/applications (i.e.: Oracle, SAP, COGNOS, Business Objects, etc.), strong Excel skills in data compilation and aggregation, including pivot tables, Vlookup & Macros Desired Competencies:You possess 10 years of Public Accounting experience or 5 years Public Accounting and 5 years in Industry. Advanced degree such as MBA, JD or LLM.
