The Manager of Global Tax Planning will work directly with the Senior Director of Global Tax Planning and other members of the finance, legal and tax team in developing, supporting and implementing global tax planning, including tax efficient cash repatriation and reorganizations other strategies to align tax with the business operations. Participates in the development of tax-efficient cash repatriation strategies in coordination with the Corporate Treasury function, and leading the oversight and execution of those strategies and the tracking of cash repatriated. 


  • Research complex tax issues to validate recommendations regarding domestic and cross-border business transactions (including identifying corporate tax characterization, understanding subpart F and other US international tax implications under the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, identifying withholding tax/treaty issues including tracking of withholding taxes on cross border transactions, and analyzing ownership and tax basis of stock/assets held for disposition.)
  • Analyze potential business transactions for tax efficient execution from both a local and US tax standpoint, coordination of legal documents (with both internal and external counsel) to ensure the company is properly protected by appropriately addressing risk, and collaborate with deal team to ensure structuring alternatives are tax efficient while meeting business objectives.
  • Coordinate with functional groups within Tax to capture all relevant transaction details and to ensure consistent treatment, as well as ensure all local and US tax and GAAP accounting impacts of transactions are thoroughly reviewed.
  • Prepare/Review the quarterly computations under the US international tax provisions of the
Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, along with review of E&P, Form 5471s/8858s and tax return statements to 

ensure accurate reporting of transactions in the US tax return. 

  • Prepare/Review internal calculations, work papers and memos to capture the transactions to ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley/FIN 48.
  • Ensure documents are compiled for audited financial statements, US tax return reporting and IRS & Local income tax audits.
  • Coordinate with Federal and International Tax Audit teams to prepare and/or review responses to the IRS and other tax authorities to effectively manage audits, including IDR’s and NOPA’s.
  • Train and develop technical skills of tax and other cross-functional colleagues and actively participate in the exploration and management of new tax technology solutions to improve the accuracy of reporting and efficient execution of Global tax responsibilities.
Minimum Requirements 

Required Education and Work Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, with
  • 5+ years of relevant international tax experience
