Senior Manager-Corporate Tax Location: Boca Raton, FL Reports to: Director-Corporate Tax 

The Senior Manager-Corporate Tax will be primarily involved with the gathering, preparing and/or reviewing data to formulate responses to state tax authorities in conjunction with audits of income and franchise tax. The position will also assist with other projects related to state taxes including planning, research and state tax provision. 

Job Duties:
Manage all aspects of state and local income and franchise tax audits including corresponding with auditors, reviewing and/or assisting with the gathering of information required by the auditors, drafting and communicating responses to information requests and assisting Tax Director in audit settlements 
Research and document relevant tax laws in support of state tax audit positions 
Interact with the tax accounting, tax compliance group and the business (accounting, treasury, legal, operations, and other functions) to execute on state tax projects and create relationships with key stakeholders for state and local tax planning projects 
Provide support for domestic tax provisions and assist with state tax provision 
Provide support to state tax compliance team via assistance with state tax research projects and some state tax return review 
Assist with responding to state and local tax notices 

Qualifications:
BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, or Business. A CPA is highly desirable as is a Master’s in Taxation 
A minimum of 8-10 years of federal and state income tax compliance and planning is required along with progressive state tax controversy experience 
Analytical and problem solving skills and the ability to apply them to state tax controversy issues 
Strong written and verbal communication skills 
Strong educational and technical tax research and compliance skills 
Ability to prioritize with excellent organizational skills for tracking and managing multiple audits and projects 
Ability and desire to learn new skills 
Ability to successfully work independently and as a member of a team
