As a member of the professional staff, contributes a high level of specialized knowledge and skill in a discipline (e.g. Accounting, Finance, Tax, Information Resources, Operations Planning & Support, Sales & Marketing) area to support department and/or function objectives. Generally, works with considerable independence, developing operating plans and related operational processes for own department in alignment with broader business objectives. Responsible for selection, supervision and development of staff in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Specific Job Summary
The Director, Domestic Tax is responsible for preparation and review of workpapers for the quarterly and annual financial statement reporting of tax provision for worldwide subsidiaries under the principals of US GAAP, including ASC 740, FIN 18, and FIN 48. Assist the VP, Global Tax with all aspects of tax provision including development, coaching and management of staff as well as reviewing material workpapers and schedules prepared by the staff.

Supervises: Staff team including Senior Manager, Manager, Sr Tax Analyst
Interfaces with: Senior Members of MVWC Finance and Accounting Department in U.S. and abroad, Third Party Service providers.
Develops operating plans and workable business processes for own department in alignment with function strategy.
Manages larger business processes and/or projects, setting priorities and measurable objectives, monitoring and reporting on the process, progress and results. Typically influences work of cross-functional or extended teams.

Specific Expected Contributions
Prepares management reports and participates in presenting results to senior management regarding tax related items.
Federal and state tax planning.
Identify tax issues and devise global tax strategies to minimize risk.
Manage the preparation of US tax compliance, forecasting, and reporting.
Manage income tax audits and inquires by governmental authorities.
Manage and team of tax professionals to meet quarterly and annual tax compliance requirements.
Maintain strong relationships with F&A leaders including SEC Reporting, Financial Planning.
Manages the calendar for the U.S tax compliance team.
Attracts, retains, manages, develops and motivates tax team members by providing leadership, guidance, and counseling as appropriate.

Generally, a professional position requiring significant knowledge and experience in one or more disciplines and/or business operations and associate management. College degree and/or relevant experience generally required.
Specific Candidate Profile
Bachelor of Finance, Accounting or in a related discipline or equivalent work experience
Ten plus years of corporate tax experience with similar size organizations with a minimum of five years hands on experience with tax provision preparation.
Experience leading and managing large scale initiatives.
Three plus years in a supervisory role with demonstrated success leading and developing a functional team in a complex, service-intensive, and deadline-driven environment.
Proven history of consistently delivering results.
