Global award winning Investment Bank is going through a period of expansion due to an increase in trading activity. Our client, based in their stunning City of London offices is after a Financial Accountant to join the Finance team.
As a Financial accountant your duties will include:
Ensuring the appropriate accounting treatment of all transactions, the production of monthly and periodic reporting, preparing the annual financial statements, and liaising with internal and external auditors for entities in the CML group.
There will also be involvement with controls testing for Sarbannes Oxley (“SOX”)
Assessing and communicating impact of changes to reporting standards and ensuring accounting and reporting requirements are updated in production systems
Ensure that a full audit trail is maintained and readily available to substantiate balance sheet and profit & loss account accounts, including trading balances (securities, repos, derivatives, collateral) and related party on a monthly basis
Assist with the production and review of quarterly Head Office Reporting
Completion of periodic Office of National Statistics returns
Implement enhancements to the overall financial reporting framework
