Group Tax Manager Poland in Europe - Other

We are looking for a person who will be in charge of the corporate tax risk management and tax planning. The successful candidate will cooperate with businesses, service providers and finance teams. The role is a global-wide role with a focus on the Polish subsidiary.

Your responsibilities:

  • identification and management of existing and potential tax risks across the Group by monitoring local tax law and regulations in cooperation with local tax advisers,

  • providing recommendations on tax aspects of all relevant projects undertaken by the company in their planning and execution, verification of key agreements,

  • supervision of timely preparation, submission and payment of tax liabilities across the Group,

  • responsibility for transfer pricing documentation,

  • ensuring tax audits and unresolved tax disputes are managed effectively (either internally or through the use of external advisers),

  • improvement of cooperation with external tax advisers,

  • partnering with the company’s finance team and business to design and implement tax planning opportunities and strategic business plans,

  • involvement in various ad hoc and ongoing group re-structuring projects.

Qualifications required

  • advanced understanding of income tax and indirect taxes,

  • tax controversy management and working knowledge of international tax concepts, with demonstrated ability to apply these to company’s business model - ideally the incumbent would have 5 to 10 years’ experience managing tax compliance matters,

  • tax advisor qualification with a minimum of 8 years’ experience in finance positions, ideally with accounting or/and legal qualification,

  • in-house tax experience in a multi-national company, preferably within the high technology sector or in a leading tax advisory firms,

  • exposure to Polish and international tax law; experience with US corporate taxation would be considered an advantage,

  • strong leadership and influencing skills,

  • fluent English & Polish is essential (written & spoken).
