About the Role

The main focus of this role is to support the Head of Tax in the provision of tax advice and management of tax risk for superannuation schemes administered by AMP’s Wealth business

More specifically your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing advice and operational delivery on tax matters for Superannuation Funds operated by AMP
  • Maintaining a clear understanding of the Wealth business and objectives to provide proactive and value add support and solutions
  • Updating the business on domestic and international changes in tax law impacting the Superannuation Funds operated by AMP
  • Partner with key stakeholders to develop strong relationships, monitor business developments and manage workflows

With your highly developed technical and commercial skills as well as excellent accounting understanding what we also look for in you is:

  • At least 8 years relevant tax experience gained from a professional services and/or corporate environment
  • Significant technical tax expertise in Superannuation entity taxation and investment advice.
  • An inquisitive and analytical mindset coupled with experience in identifying and assessing solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and listening) with an ability to communicate complex and/or financial issues in everyday language.
  • Exceptional customer service ethic and good interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability in managing stakeholders and developing relationships with people at all levels of the organisation.
  • Developed project management competency.
  • Excellent attention to detail with quality outcomes
  • Exposure to general corporate tax matters would be highly regarded.
